The UK-headquartered training and research charity for the food and grocery industry, IGD, has announced that its chief executive Joanne Denney-Finch will step down from her role later this year.
Denney-Finch has headed the organisation for more than two decades and plans to depart from IGD in September 2018.
“Last year was a landmark year for me, marking 20 years in my tenure as chief executive at IGD," she said.
Exploring Different Opportunities
“It has, however, been my ambition for some time to explore a number of different opportunities in both my professional and personal life in the future and these require more time than I presently have working full time," she added.
Denney-Finch continued by saying that IGD is in "an excellent position for the future”, making it the right time to embark on the next step in her career.
IGD said it has started searching for her successor.
