Cork-based Keohane Seafoods has hosted a special event at its Kinsale Road headquarters to mark its second year of business.
As part of the event, the seafood producer presented five cheques, worth €1,000 each, to charity, as part of a bursary from Megazyme International Ireland. The charities that received the bursary included Marymount Hospice, Cork Simon Community, Co-Action Bantry, the Jack and Jill Foundation and St Vincent de Paul.
“This has been a great year for us at Keohane Seafoods," commented Colman Keohane, Managing Director of Keohane Seafoods. "We were very proud to be declared Overall Winner of the SFA National Small Business Awards earlier this year, and it was fantastic to be able to mark this with the presentation of five charitable cheques to local and national charities on our second birthday.”
Keohane Seafoods specialises in microwavable seafood products, including Salmon with Roast Garlic & Parsley Butter, Haddock Fillets with Lemon & Cracked Black Pepper Butter and Cod Fillets with Ginger, Chilli & Lime.
