Krispy Kreme, has announced the roll out of its state-of-the art digital cabinets to a further 15 stores across the country.
The additional Tesco and Circle K stores include Tesco Drogheda, Athlone, Tullamore, Dundalk and Circle K’s state-of-the-art store located on the M6 Dublin/Galway Road.
In Dublin, the donut brand outlined that it has also added to its retail portfolio with Krispy Kreme cabinets introduced to Tesco White Pines (Rathfarnham) and nearby Rathfarnham Shopping Centre along with Circle K Citywest Avenue.
Speaking about the new locations, Declan Foley, country manager for Ireland, Krispy Kreme said, “We are delighted to bring the joy of Krispy Kreme to fans beyond the Dublin area and aim to increase our footprint to even more counties this year through our partnerships with Tesco and Circle K stores."
Naas-based Manufacturing Plant
The expansion into the midlands has been made possible by the introduction of a dedicated Krispy Kreme manufacturing plant in Naas Co. Kildare.
"At Circle K, we're always looking to make things easy for our customers and bring a wide choice of products to our range that customers can grab and go from our stores," said Mary McDonald, senior category manager, Food Service, Circle K Ireland.
"We're delighted to extend our partnership with Krispy Kreme and bring more of its product range to select stores in the coming weeks.”
Wide Range
Opened last winter, the factory produces flavours such as the Original Glazed, Chocolate Dreamcake, Lotus Biscoff and Nutty Chocolatta that are delivered fresh daily to its retailers, Krispy Kreme shops in Blanchardstown, Swords Pavilions and Dundrum Town Centre.
Customers can choose their own dozen from the range of single doughnuts along with Bites and Minis from Krispy Kreme’s state-of-the-art digital display cabinets.
The cabinets include digital screens with the brand’s ‘Made Fresh Daily’ tagline, seasonal salutations and can display bespoke messaging. Motion-activated digital shelf edge labels offer product information – including full ingredient specifications, which allow customers to check for allergens.
In November the brand opened its second stand-alone store at Swords Pavilions and in 2022 the Krispy Kreme noted that it is planning to open a new outlet in Dublin city centre - details of this store, situated in Dublin’s Central Plaza, will be announced next month.
