Lidl Ireland Gives St. Vincent De Paul €220k In Charity Gift Card Discounts

Lidl Ireland has revealed that charitable organisation St. Vincent de Paul availed of more than €220,000 worth of discounts through Lidl’s Charity Gift Card programme.

The retailer confirmed the savings as part of its commitment to supporting local communities for A Better Tomorrow.

Lidl’s programme enables registered charities across Ireland to purchase Lidl charity gift cards, which work in the same way as standard Gift Cards with the added option of restricting alcohol sales, for a discounted price.

Service users can redeem the gift cards in any of Lidl’s 183 stores across Ireland.

As the largest voluntary charitable organisation in Ireland, St. Vincent de Paul provides practical support to those experiencing poverty or disadvantage and, through Lidl’s Charity Gift Card programme, has provided service users across the country with shopping vouchers.

The organisation offers a wide range of supports for vulnerable people through local offices, shops, resource centres, housing, daycare and holiday schemes to name a few.

In its mission to help people with practical solutions, the Charity Gift Card programme with Lidl allows St. Vincent de Paul to offer support as well as independence with the help of the retailer.
