Lidl Ireland has launched its first Irish-made own-brand skincare line, Ár Ocean, in an exclusive supply deal worth €1 million.
The deal, with Ballina-based ULTRAPURE LaboratoriesÓ, will see four Ár Ocean skin products stocked across Lidl’s 220 Irish stores.
Included in the collection are a combined cleanser and toner (€3.49), moisturiser (€4.99), eye cream (€3.99) and face serum (€4.99).
The family-run Mayo business employs a team of 20.
It is an award-winning producer of Guaranteed Irish and natural muscle recovery, skincare and wellness products.
ULTRAPURE LaboratoriesÓ won the Home and Lifestyle award at the 2024 Guaranteed Irish Business Awards.
It also won bronze in the Rising Star category at the 2023 Family Business Awards.
Lidl and ULTRAPURE LaboratoriesÓ have been working to develop Ár Ocean for almost two years.
The line aims to harness the nourishing properties of sea minerals and Irish moss cultivated from the Atlantic.
This then creates a nutrient-rich, moisturising and luxurious skincare collection at an attainable price.
Ár Ocean surged ahead in the satisfaction stakes within a recent customer research study.
94% of respondents said they would recommend Ár Ocean products to a friend.
96% said they were satisfied with the products, while 90% said
A further 90% of panellists said they would continue using the products after an initial trial period.
