Lidl Ireland To Fill More Than 400 Jobs Across Store and Warehouse Network

Lidl Ireland has announced that it is looking to fill more than 400 new store and warehouse positions across its operations.

In particular the retailer said that it is looking to hear from those in retail, catering or hospitality who may have lost their jobs in recent days.

"These aren't the usual circumstances by which we hope to be welcoming new people to our team," said J.P. Scally, managing director, Lidl Ireland.

"However, we take our responsibility to feed the nation very seriously. We want to ensure our frontline team is supported in every way possible and that means hiring additional team members at this difficult period to help us to continue to provide food and supplies to communities across the country."

Applicants are encouraged to visit the retailers website to apply.

Other Preventative Measures

On St. Patricks Day Lidl Ireland introduced dedicated shopping mornings for elderly customers which runs from 9am – 11am every day and include prioritised queuing and additional assistance.

Lidl has introduced additional preventative measures into stores for the health and safety of customers and employees including: Protective Perspex screens; Bio misting spray for trolleys and baskets; Social distancing signage and tape as well as Additional security.
