Lidl Ireland To Release Over 100 New ‘Kickstart’ Products

Lidl Ireland will see over 100 new products land on shelves nationwide as part of the Lidl Ireland Kickstart Supplier Development Programme on Thursday 19 September.

The exciting new products will be available across Lidl’s 222 stores nationwide for a limited time while stocks last.

From high-quality convenience foods, fish and meat produce, to beauty, baking, ice cream, condiments and beers as well as the programme’s first ever pet product, this year’s Kickstart assortment has something for everyone.

What’s In Store

Products available include sister Aisling and Sadhbh Wood’s Bean Around Exfoliating Coffee Bars made from used coffee beans, Hayden Smyth’s Pup Pup Dental Chews, a sustainable insect-based dog treat, and Emi Takakura’s delicious and healthy Slice of Life Pizza, a frozen high-protein pizza with a cauliflower crust made with all-natural ingredients and sold in fully recyclable packaging.

Offering a variety of culinary delights to try at home, Lidl shoppers can expect to see an extensive range of flavours stocked to satisfy various tastes.

These include David Keane’s DK Connemara Oysters and Niall Sabongi’s Smocked Haddock Lasagne, celebrating high-quality Irish seafood products, and Conor Sweeny’s Dae Bites delicious cookie and brownie bites that are free from 13 of the top 14 allergens.

Donegal natives will be delighted to learn that the county’s iconic soft drink Football Special will be included as part of the programme.

Sweet snacks such as Rachel Nolan’s dairy-free, vegan ice cream Nobó Frozen Goodness and Aisling Tuck’s Naked Bakes Cookie Dough are available for the first time on Lidl shelves while stocks last.

‘New, Innovative Products’

Speaking ahead of the products hitting shelves, the supplier development manager at Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland Kate O’Driscoll said, “It is a very exciting and proud day for our Kickstart suppliers as they see their range of 107 products land on Lidl shelves in everyone one of our 222 stores across the island of Ireland.

“This is the culmination of six months of hard work, collaborating with our in-house experts and receiving practical guidance on how to scale production, drive production efficiency, as well as product development, branding and packaging support, allowing these suppliers to optimise this opportunity and scale for success.

“We’re looking forward to seeing our customers’ response to these new, innovative products.”

Lidl’s Kickstart Supplier Development Programme is just one of many ways the retailer supports the Irish agri-food industry.

To date, the retailer has invested more than €30 million in supporting over 250 Irish producers through the Kickstart Development Programme.
