Lidl Ireland is offering customers home-cooked burgers for as little as €1.58 per person, ahead of barbecue season.
As shoppers are feeling the pinch with the cost of living and eating out less, this summer, customers can still enjoy a delicious barbecued meal.
The retailer is also offering further savings this summer, with a mix-and-match on any three-for-€9 barbecue meats, available on the Lidl Plus app until 14 August.
Burgers
Lidl’s Deluxe range of Bord Bia quality-assured Irish Angus beef is perfect for sizzling over the barbecue, whether with the classic Deluxe Irish Angus Beef Burger (2-pack, €2.49) or the Deluxe Dry-Aged Angus Ribsteak Burger (2-pack, €3.29).
New this year is the Deluxe Irish Angus Best-Ever Beef Burger (2-pack, €3.49).
It is made with a succulent blend of chuck and brisket Irish Angus beef enriched with bone marrow, to add depth to its delicious flavour.
For the more adventurous diner, the Irish Beef-Flavoured Quarter-Pounders (4-pack, €3.79) come preseasoned with sea salt and cracked black pepper or caramelised red onion and smoky habanero seasoning.
If you prefer a chicken or turkey burger, Lidl’s Irish Quick-cook Chicken Fillets (3-pack, €3.49) and Irish Turkey Burgers (4-pack, €3.99) are marinated in a variety of glazes, including chilli and lime, Cajun, piri-piri, Thai style, and smoky barbecue.
The Trimmings
To season at home, Lidl has a new Batts Peri-Peri Spice Pouch (€0.75), available in Medium Peri-Peri, Smoky BBQ, and Lemon and Herb.
Vegetarians can enjoy a range of delicious plant-based burgers produced in Birr, Co. Offaly.
For as little as €1.89, shoppers can enjoy the Vemondo Sweet Potato and Chilli Plant-Based Burger (2-pack) or a Vemondo Curried Cauliflower Plant-Based Burger (2-pack).
Whatever burger you prefer, pair it with a Connell Bakery Burger Bun (6-pack, €1.15) or a Deluxe Brioche Burger Bun (4-pack, €1.79).
The Deluxe Seeded Brioche Burger Buns (4-pack, €1.69) add a perfect balance of sweet and smokiness to any burger.
Top delicious burgers off with Lidl’s range of Rathdaragh Irish Cheddars (from €1.49) and its selection of gourmet cheeses, handpicked and carefully selected by Lidl’s expert buyers.
