Lidl Recruits 300 More Staff Than Originally Planned

Lidl Ireland has recruited an additional 300 staff members, bringing the total amount of new recruits to 700 since March this year.

Earlier this year, the retailer announced its plans to recruit 400 more workers.

'In March Lidl announced a dedicated recruitment drive to fill 400 roles across stores and warehouses during a period of increased customer demand and the introduction of multiple safety measures,' the discounter said in a statement.

'This figure increased to 700 across the network in order for us to best support our team during this challenging time,' it added.
