Lidl has announced a major supply deal with Kildare-based cooked-meat producer O’Brien Fine Foods, valued at €60 million.
According to the discount retailer, this new deal will see O’Brien Fine Foods supply Lidl stores across Ireland, Northern Ireland, Great Britain and mainland Europe, including Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Romania and Slovenia.
Commenting on the new deal, Kevin Duffy, senior buying director for Lidl Ireland, said, “Supporting the growth and success of Irish producers locally and worldwide is a key focus for us at Lidl. Glensallagh Cooked/Crumbed Sliced Irish Ham Range
The range of O’Brien Fine Foods products available in Lidl stores nationwide includes the following:
- Deluxe Butcher-Style Traditional/Smoked Ham, Crumbed Ham or Cured Shaved Ham;
- Deluxe Butcher-Style Turkey Breast Slices; and
- Deluxe Premium Chicken Slices.
