Londis has unveiled a new charity partnership, '€60k For 60 Years', which will see the retailer donate €60,000 to three charities, Pieta House, the Irish Hospice Foundation and Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.
The charity partnership was announced to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the formation of the ADM Group this year.
Throughout the months of May, June and July, Londis customers will receive a token with every transaction, and can vote for their chosen charity by inserting it into the relevant slot at the display unit in store. In doing so, Londis customers across Ireland will decide how the €60,000 is divided between the three charities.
“This initiative was designed by Londis retailers to thank each and every Londis customer for their support and custom, without which an independent retail industry would not thrive," said Londis Chief Executive Stephen O’Riordan.
"It was important that the campaign was something which our network of retailers could get involved in right from the very start. For this reason we asked our retailers to identify the charities that would we would partner with."
Londis is also encouraging its network of over 200 independently owned stores to carry out charity fundraising events during the campaign in a bid to raise even more money for the charities involved.
