Londis retailers have presented a €222,579 donation to close out its charity partnership with LauraLynn Children’s Hospice.
Every two years, the retailers’ nationwide network of community retailers vote on a new official charity partner to raise funds for.
They then raise money through a series of fundraising activities, as well as a donation on select own-brand products.
Conor Hayes, the sales director for Londis, recently handed over a cheque for a creditable €222,579.22 to the head of fundraising with LauraLynn Children’s Hospice, Gillian Neary.
The move closed out the two year partnership.
Speaking about the donation, Neary said, “We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Londis retailers for their wonderful support over the two years of our charity partnership.
“The funds raised have helped expand our services to reach more children and families than ever before and Londis have our deep appreciation.”
When presenting the cheque, Hayes said, “Londis is very proud that the fundraising initiatives of our network of community retailers have helped so many children and families who avail of the services provided by LauraLynn Hospice, and we would like to thank them for the great work they do.
“It is a wonderful organisation and has been a very successful charity partnership.”
