Londis retailers throughout Ireland recently hosted a coffee morning in support of its charity partner, raising an impressive €25,000 for Irish Hospice Foundation.
As the national charity for dying, death and bereavement, Irish Hospice Foundation is driven by a fundamental belief in the importance of dying well and grieving well, wherever the place, as well as supporting individuals and families.
Irish Hospice Foundation also actively campaigns for change in these areas by advocating and influencing the development and implementation of national policy.
Londis retailers selected the organisation as its official charity partner on a two-year cycle in 2023 and supports it through a variety of fundraising initiatives such as the coffee morning.
When the retailer announced the partnership last year, it made an initial donation of €10,000 to Irish Hospice Foundation to kick off the relationship.
Londis also collects money in-store and makes a donation on selected Londis Own Brand products.
Commenting on the fundraiser, Londis sales director Conor Hayes said, “Londis retailers always love organising charity coffee mornings as they’re such great events for the community and are so well supported by everyone.
“We are very proud to be supporting Irish Hospice Foundation’s mission, and this is another example of how our retailers get behind this great charity.”
