Londis is to invest more than €1 million into a new marketing campaign built around its retailers' links with their local community. The 'Local Like You' campaign will incorporate TV advertisements, digital activity and in-store promotion.
The campaign was launched yesterday with a new TV advert, which depicts a Londis retailer incorporated into different aspects of community life, including a still life art class and local five-a-side match.
The advert, shot in Howth, Co. Dublin, was developed by Language, produced by Rocket Science Productions and directed by Ian Power.
Commenting, Londis Group Marketing Manager, Ruth Norton said: "The TV ad is designed to show the unique position which Londis holds in the community by personifying the store as a constant presence in everyone’s life […] We wanted a unique way of demonstrating just how much each retailer cares about the community of which they are a part and the locals which they serve and this campaign delivers on this objective with charm, warmth and humour.”
Londis also unveiled a Facebook initiative, calling on consumers to demonstrate 'how local they are' by suggesting a great family break in their county.
ADM Londis was named the winner of the Best Fresh Logistics/Supply Chain award at the Checkout Best in Fresh Awards last week.
