Love Irish Food Extends Registration For Brand Development Award

Love Irish Food, in partnership with Global, announced last week that entries are open for the 2025 Love Irish Food Brand Development Award, worth over €160,000.

Open to Love Irish Food members nationwide, the award will be supported by trade partners Goosebump Ltd, Marketing Network Group and Checkout Magazine.

The award, which has been around since 2012, has provided Love Irish Food member brands the opportunity to win a fully-funded national outdoor advertising campaign through sponsor Global and their impressive national retail network.

Additionally, the award will receive trade marketing support from Checkout Magazine.

Winners of the award will receive creative services from Goosebump Ltd, in addition to support from Tilt – the social and digital experts at Marketing Network Group.

In previous years, the Brand Development awards has been granted to Plant It Food Co., Ballymaloe Foods, Killowen Foods and Oliver Carty & Family.

Admission to the competition consists of a simple two-step process, starting with registration which has been extended to Friday 28 February.

This will give members an additional chance to enter the award – and it can be accessed here: https://loveirishfood.ie/brand-development-award-2025-stage-1/

Following registration, members will be asked to submit a completed entry by 5.30pm on 15 March.

‘Vital Opportunity’

Speaking about the award, executive director of Love Irish Food Conor Kilduff said, “The Brand Development Award is a vital opportunity for Irish food and drink producers to strengthen their presence in a competitive market.

“By extending the registration deadline, we’re giving more member brands the chance to benefit from this invaluable support.

“I look forward to seeing this year’s entrants showcase their passion and innovation.”

Once a shortlist has been selected, members will be interviewed by a judging panel, with the winner of the award announced at the beginning of April 2025.

The judging panel consists of executive director of Love Irish Food Conor Kilduff, and head of marketing at Global Ireland Antoinette O’Callaghan.

As part of the Brand Development Award campaign, Love Irish Food and Global collaborate and support the winning brand to create a campaign that will optimise the brand’s marketing and business objectives for the year.
