The team at Mace is celebrating after winning bronze in the Best Retail Category at the Digital Media Awards 2024.
Mace won bronze for its campaign ‘Mace Right Options – Coach Johnny’ in collaboration with ambassador and former Ireland rugby captain Johnny Sexton, which ran in the first quarter of this year.
Right Options set out to promote healthy eating, physical exercise and positive mental health in communities around the country through a series of initiatives.
It involved a comprehensive awareness campaign in store and online to highlight the healthier food and drink options available in Mace stores.
Sexton’s role as the coach involved encouraging members of the public to make the best choices for themselves and their families, including fuelling ahead of exercise and staying active.
When the campaign launched in January, Sexton said, “As a parent, I’m passionate about encouraging children and families to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
“Since I’m only recently finished playing professional sport, this is one way for me to help support the Irish public in making more positive choices for the benefit of their physical and mental health.”
The Digital Media Awards have been running for 21 years and this year’s awards ceremony took place on Friday 6 September.
The Best in Retail category recognises campaigns in the retail and FMCG industries that have created interactive media and digital content demonstrating best practice, innovation, excellence in promoting, advertising, communicating or marketing their product.
