Fergal Harrington, Brand Development Manager at Maxol Group has presented a cheque for €65,733 to Susan O’Dwyer, Chief Executive, Make-A-Wish Ireland.
The donation follows a two year partnership struck between The Maxol Group and Make-A-Wish Ireland that was announced in April 2013 which made Make-A-Wish Maxol’s charity of the year.
Speaking at the presentation of the donation, Susan O’Dwyer said “Make-A-Wish Ireland is delighted with the support by the Maxol Group and its customers over the last year and a half. Maxol retailers and their regional managers have done a great job promoting Make-A-Wish in store. Money raised will help us grant more wishes to children all over Ireland battling life threatening medical conditions”.
Maxol has installed Make-A-Wish collection boxes in over 160 Maxol service stations throughout Ireland as part of the partnership.
In addition, Maxol also launched a “wash for wishes” car washing campaign and donated a percentage of coffee sales to the charity as part of a promotion. Make-A-Wish merchandise is also available in-store.
