Maxol’s Support ‘Critical’ in Development of Rugby Talent

The president of the Irish Universities Rugby Union (IURU) Derek McGrath has said that Maxol Group’s sponsorship of the union has been ‘critical’ in the development of international rugby players.

Celebrating 20 years of sponsorship McGrath said, “Maxol’s continued support for the competitions of the Irish University Rugby Union helped maintain a critical pathway in the development of future interprovincial and international players”.

“The relationship between Maxol Ireland and the Irish Universities was now one of the longest and most established commercial partnerships in Irish rugby. This ongoing support has been critical in the recent development of University rugby in Ireland.”

The annual IURU Dudley Cup took place in University College Cork on Saturday the 7th of February, with Queen’s University bringing home the cup for the twelfth time.
