The Maxol Group has announced that it raised €15,000 for Make-A-Wish Ireland this month following its ‘Wash for Wishes’ Carwash Week, representing a 50% increase on last year.
This was the third ‘Wash for Wishes’ held across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, and saw €2 from every carwash donated directly to Make-A-Wish Ireland during the dedicated week.
Group Brand Development Manager at The Maxol Group, Fergal Harrington commented; “These latest funds raised means that Maxol is very close to reaching €200,000 in funds raised for Make-A-Wish.
“We are very proud of this phenomenal achievement, of the efforts of our staff and of the support from our customers in every community.”
The money raised by the Maxol initiative will go towards helping Make-A-Wish reach its 2015 target of granting 175 wishes for children living with serious medical conditions.
CEO of Make-A-Wish Ireland thanked Maxol and its customers, saying; “This really does make an enormous difference to a number of children living with a life-threatening medical condition by helping us to continue granting wishes.”
