According to the Irish Independent, discount retailer Pepco opened its tenth Irish store on Saturday 9 December, in Sligo’s Cleveragh Retail Park.
The latest opening comes after parent company Dealz completely revamped a number of its Irish stores, giving them top-to-bottom makeovers and converting them to Pepco.
In Good Company
The Sligo outlet joins stores in Artane, Santry, Finglas, Carrickmines – all in Dublin – and Newbridge, Galway, Tallaght, Tralee and Limerick.
Alongside Dealz and Poundland, Pepco is one of three key retail brands operated by the Pepco Group and headquartered in Poznań, Poland.
With its first 14 shops opening in Poland in 2004, the company has around 28,000 employees in 18 countries across Europe, with the largest footprints in Poland, Romania and Hungary.
Christmas Is Coming
Olivia McLoughlin, trading country operations manager for both Pepco and Dealz in Ireland, said, “We’re delighted at the reaction to our Pepco stores, and we’re extremely excited to be opening this Pepco store in Sligo – our tenth in Ireland.
“Christmas will soon be upon us, and we’ve been working hard to ensure we bring the items that we know our customers already love at Dealz, along with much more, to our Pepco stores.
“We realise purse strings are tight for many families throughout Ireland, and that’s why we know the value we offer will matter, especially at this time of year.”
Pepco, with more than 4,600 stores in 21 European countries, is a one-stop shop for clothing, food, health and beauty, homeware, toys, and key household needs.
