Payzone has signed a deal with the Fuel Distributors Association of Ireland (FDAI) that will allow customers to make payments in over 2,500 Payzone agent stores throughout the country.
Members of the FDAI will give provide customers with an account card which can be used to make payments towards their home heating oil costs. Filling a oil tank can cost from €750-€1,000 per fill, with approximately two fills per annum. This deal is part of the FDAI's pledge to give customers more flexible ways to budget and pay for their home heating.
Brian Harte at the FDAI said: "We are excited to be teaming up with Payzone and offering our members this novel service designed to benefit home fuel customers. We understand the difficulty faced in paying a large lump sum to fill an oil tank, and we hope this new payment system will take the strain off oil customers and ultimately benefit our members."
Discussing the deal, Managing Director at Payzone Ireland, Jim Deignan said,"This agreement is a great addition to our already wide and varied consumer payments network and we look forward to developing our relationship with the FDAI as well as continuing our network growth and product portfolio in the coming year."
