RGDATA today became the first retail trade association in the country to launch its own smartphone app, the RGDATA Retail Toolkit.
Conceived and designed by independent retailers, the app contains a practical calculator and insider video tips from retailers and industry experts. It will also keep retailers up to date on all industry and RGDATA news.
The app was launched by a group of young ‘next generation retailers’ who are taking part in an RGDATA initiative to help highlight and promote their family businesses and the contribution that locally owned shops make to local communities. Among them were Aisling Joyce from Joyce’s Supermarket Group in Galway, Hugh Doyle from Donnybrook Fair in Dublin and James Moriarty and Linda Madden from the Moriarty Group with businesses in Balbriggan, Palmerstown and Skerries.
Speaking at the launch, RGDATA Director General Tara Buckley RGDATA said "RGDATA is embracing the future of retail and that is why we are delighted to launch our retailer toolkit app with the support of AIB.”
The app is available for download on iOS on the app store and android on google play.
