Spar International is once again sponsoring the European Athletics Championships, with the 2016 representing the retailer’s seventh year a main sponsor.
The 23rd European Athletics Championships were officially opened this week by his Royal Highness King Willem-Alexander and Svein Arne Hansen, the President of European Athletics, in Amsterdam.
Athletics fans will be able to access a free, livestream platform for the event sponsored by Spar, meaning that viewers in over 40 countries can watch the races and competitions live on their computer, mobile or tablet.
Managing Director at Spar International Tobias Wasmuht said “Spar is delighted to celebrate 20 years as principal sponsor of European Athletics at this, our seventh championship.
“Our long standing international sponsorship is also amplified by our multiple involvement at national and local levels with SPAR taking an active role in promoting health and wellness in the communities we serve.”
