This 5K route will take participants through the streets of Dublin starting outside the CHQ Building and finishing on City Quay.
The Spar Streets of Dublin 5K is part of the brand new Athletics Ireland Race Series 2018 and Irish Olympian Mick Clohisey and fitness expert and TV broadcaster Karl Henry were on hand recently to officially launch the event.
“The Spar Streets of Dublin 5K road race is an important event for the brand considering our longstanding support of athletics,' said Colin Donnelly, Spar sales director.
Commemorative Medals
Finishers in each event will receive a unique technical t-shirt, medal and goodie bag.
The Irish retailer said that those who complete all three races will receive a special commemorative interlocking Athletics Ireland Race Series medal.
“The SPAR Streets of Dublin 5k is the perfect run for those who want to improve their fitness levels, attempt to beat a personal best or to simply attempt their first ever 5km run," said Mick Clohisey, Irish Olympian and marathon runner.
"When else would you get the opportunity to run unimpeded through the streets of Dublin, it lends itself to all levels of runners.”
