Celebrations were afoot at SPAR Millennium Walkway in Dublin 1 last week as it was announced that the store had sold a winning Lotto Money Multiplier Scratch Card worth €100,000.
Owner of the store, John O’Neill said that he was "ecstatic" to get the call that one of his customers won the substantial prize.
“Ah I’m just absolutely delighted for that customer. I hope it brings them lots of happiness and I hope they get to really enjoy it. This is definitely the biggest scratch card win we’ve ever had to date," O'Neill commented.
"I hope we get a roll of them to keep the excitement going," he added.
The Winner
The winner of the €100,000 prize is from Co. Dublin and has already collected their cheque at Lottery HQ earlier this week.
The winner (who wants to remain anonymous) admitted that he got "quite the surprise when he scratched his Money Multiplier scratch card."
Commenting on his prize, the winner, said, “Before this, the most I ever won was €50 so it was a massive shock when I saw all those zeroes looking back at me.
"It’s not everyday that you hear of a top prize amount being won so I think that threw me as well. I never expected it so I’m delighted that I can now say I’m a top prize winner! I don’t know how long I spent looking at it. Looking after my family is the top priority now," he added.
