Have you ever wondered who would win in a race around your local Spar, between Ireland’s fastest man, Israel Olatunde, and Olympic gold-medal boxer Kellie Harrington?
Wonder no more, because Spar has the answer in its new ‘Spar Sweep’ campaign.
Facing off in a real Spar store, the two athletes compete in a fun game, wherein each gets a list of Spar Better Choices products.
They then have to frantically search the shelves for their labelled items and pop as many in their baskets as they can before the whistle announces that time is up.
It’s the race that you never knew you needed to see, and a terrific contest between two of Ireland’s greatest athletes.
Who will fare better – Harrington, with her nimble agility, or Olatunde, with his incredible speed?
Both will be entering the competition with a strategy in mind – they are professionals, after all.
Spar Sweep launched on Monday 24 June on Spar’s Instagram page, with the competitors gearing up for the race.
The retailer is asking its audience to head over to @Spar_Ireland on Instagram and pick a winner, to be in with a chance of winning a €200 Spar Better Choices voucher.
Spar will announce the winner on Thursday 27 July, and the audience can vote in the comments of Monday’s reel.
