Superquinn sausages will soon be available in all Supervalu stores nationwide, to meet consumer demand for the popular product. The 12 pack will retail at €4 and Supervalu expects that they will bring additional sales of €2 million within the first year.
Producers of the award-winning sausages, ABP Ireland have added 12 new jobs to cater for the new demand at its Cahir, Co. Tipperary plant. All pork raw materials are 100% Irish and will adhere to the original Superquinn recipe.
Fans of the sausages were concerned that the sausages would no longer be available when the two retailers Superquinn and Supervalu merged. So far initial sales of the Superquinn sausages in a handful of Supervalu stores have seen the product sell out. As a result, nationwide distribution has been brought forward in order to cater for demand.
