SuperValu in Talbot Street, Dublin, has been named Small SuperValu
Store of the Year for 2018.
The Talbot Street store, received the award at the recent SuperValu
National Conference, which was held in the Great Southern Hotel,
Killarney.
Major Revamp
The central Dublin SuperValu store, which received a major revamp last
year now offers a salad station, fresh food to go and a Frank and
Honest coffee counter, beat competing outlets throughout the Republic,
which were all assessed by an independent adjudicator.
“Last year, the store received a major revamp and I’d like to thank
all of our hard-working, dedicated staff who supported us through this
changeover," said store owners Eddie Kane and Dan McCartney
"Our enthusiastic team also played a central role in making the
new-look Talbot Street SuperValu a huge success among customers, and I
am proud to accept this award on their behalf.”
Speaking at the awards, Martin Kelleher, managing director, SuperValu
congratulated Talbot Street, commenting, “The revamp of SuperValu
Talbot Street has paid dividends and it is a truly superb small store
in the heart of Dublin. The competition in this category was intense
and it speaks volumes about Eddie, Dan and their team’s dedication to
excellent fresh food and great customer service that they emerged as
winners.”
