Tesco has revealed that when it comes to the perfect Mother’s Day treat, 26% of mums said spending quality time with their family would be their ideal gift.
Meanwhile, 15% said they would like to be served brunch, and 11% would like someone else to do the housework,
When it comes to the worst gift ideas, 3 out of 10 mothers would dread receiving a household appliance the most, while 27% said that getting nothing would be the worst.
Tesco’s research also found that 21% of mums drop hints about what they want for Mother’s Day, with Dublin mothers most likely to try to give their families a few ideas.
Nearly half of all Irish mothers in a relationship reported that their partner have previous forgotten to organise a card or gift from the children, with 61% of mums in Munster saying their partner had forgotten.
For Mother’s Day, Tesco has stocked up on a range of flowers, from pocket money friendly €5 pink tulips, to selected finest* bouquets, available at a special offer of 2 for €35 while stocks last.
Tesco’s finest* bisol prosecco has been reduced to €10 until Sunday 5, while Mumm cordon rouge has been reduced to €25.
