Tesco Ireland has notified its colleagues that it is extending its COVID-19 recognition bonus.
The 10% bonus which was initially introduced for its staff applied from 9 March to 1 May, has been extended to 30 May.
Kari Daniels, CEO, Tesco Ireland, said the company wanted to mark the commitment of its colleagues.
“It’s been eight weeks of change for everyone, including in our operations where we’ve prioritised public health to support a safe working and shopping experience," she said.
"Our colleagues have risen to these challenges, and I thank them for their support and contribution as together we respond to COVID-19”.
Daniels added that as a further token of appreciation, the company has increased its colleague shopping discount from 10 to 15% for the three weeks until 17 May.
