Tesco Ireland has opened its newest store on Dublin’s North Side, creating 12 new jobs for the area and increasing the retailer’s Irish footprint to 183.
The Express Store on Collins Avenue measures almost 4,500 square feet and will offer an extensive range of groceries, fresh produce, household items and more.
Tesco also proudly offers customers 100% Irish Tesco own-label beef, pork, chicken, milk and eggs along with locally produced ready meals from Ballymaguire and cakes made by Mannings Bakery.
With the Tesco Clubcard, shoppers can unlock great value through Clubcard Prices, Reward Partners and more, with the retailer encouraging new customers to sign up for a Clubcard today by downloading the Tesco Ireland app.
Speaking at the official opening on Thursday, store manager Claire Kelly – who has been with Tesco for 17 years – said, “We are very pleased to be opening this brand-new store on Collins Avenue and are very much looking forward to welcoming new customers and getting involved in the community at a local level.”
Through its Stronger Starts community strategy, Tesco champions children’s health at both local and national levels.
At Collins Avenue, Tesco supports Our Lady of Consolation National School through Stronger Starts Food, providing fresh fruit and vegetables to children who need it most.
The retailer also supports community projects including Our Lady of Consolation National School; Killester, Raheny and Clontarf Educate Together National Schools and Scoil Chiaráin National School through its blue token Community Fund.
In addition to this, the retailer will fundraise for Tesco’s charity partner Children’s Health Foundation and donating surplus food each evening for redistribution.
