A survey of more than 1,000 sandwich fans by Tesco has revealed that when it comes to the perfect Christmas sandwich, 34% prefer turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce, while 33% are loyal to the Christmas ham.
The survey comes as Tesco Ireland launches its limited edition Christmas Sandwich, set to be in stores from November 18th until the end of December.
The Tesco Christmas Sandwich will go on sale for €2.99, or €3.50 as part of a Meal Deal, with 50c per pack donated to Temple Street to fund buying life-saving medical equipment.
Supplier Freshways Food Co. has combined locally sourced turkey and ham, with stuffing and cranberry sauce, to create what Tesco is calling ‘the ultimate Christmas sandwich’.
Buying Manager for Tesco Ireland, Liliana Caruto commented, “The perfect Christmas sandwich is a hotly contested topic so we are really excited to be able to offer something that not only tastes delicious but allows our shoppers to give a little help to Temple Street.”
“These funds will really make a difference to the children’s hospital so why not get into the Christmas spirit early and pick up a pack in store.”
