Tesco launches ‘my fit lifestyle’

Tesco has launched a brand new range of healthy eating options, ‘my fit lifestyle’, in the wake of research confirming that consumers make unhealthy eating choices on account of their busy lifestyle.

The new range also accounts for the popularity of healthy eating plans and regularity with which many consumers now eat lunch at their desks during work.

Products in the range will be divided into five colour codes depending upon their calorie content, allowing consumers to identify at a glance products that fit into their dietary plan.

Tesco’s chief customer officer Jill Easterbrook said “we know that our customers are looking for us to help them lead healthier lives. They’ve told us that the pressures of the day make sticking to a healthy eating regime can be really difficult.

“We’re launching my fit lifestyle, so you can mix and match freshly prepared meals to suit your own personal plan.”

“Each of the meals provide two of your five a day,” said Karen Tonks, Tesco’s in-house nutritionist. “It’s flexible too, so you can follow a complete meal plan or just balance out an indulgent weekend. The range has enough variety to deliver all the nutrients you need for a healthy lifestyle.”
