Tesco Ireland has announced a new price lock commitment, freezing the prices on hundreds of everyday products until 2023.
The products are all included within the Low Everyday Prices campaign, which covers a wide range of products, from grocery staples to household and health & beauty products.
Some of the items that will be included in Tesco’s ‘price lock’ include household brands such as Denny deli-style traditional ham and Kellogg’s cereals, to name but a few.
Cost-Cutting Promotions
Tesco noted that it is currently running cost-cutting promotions in store and online, such as the Aldi Price Match, as well as a number of exclusive deals through its Clubcard Prices.
Allied to this, the retailer is currently running the Tesco Toy Sale, which offers customers savings of up to 50% on children’s toys until 30 October.
Cathal Deavy, customer director, Tesco Ireland, said, “As we head into the winter months, we know that households are taking an even closer look at their budgets. Our price lock across hundreds of products until 2023 should reassure customers that these products will stay at the same price, helping them manage their budgets when they need it most.
“This will also help in the lead-up to Christmas. Customers have certainty of price on products, to spread the cost of the season, with no need to hold off in anticipation of further price changes.”
