Tesco Ireland has officially unveiled its Finest* Christmas range with a tasting at No. 25 Fitzwilliam Place.
Guests to the event were given the chance to talk to key Tesco buyers to learn about the retailer's party food, bakery and cheese offerings for the festive season, while sampling wine, beers and a range of snacks.
Available in stores from this week, the Tesco Finest* party food range this year includes ‘Bang Bang Chicken Skewers’ – spicy marinated chicken on lemongrass skewers, and served with popping candy.
Irish supplier Mr Crumb is also producing a variety of bruschetta for the Finest* range, which includes Goats Cheese & Tomato and Redcurrant Chutney & Goats Cheese variants.
This year Tesco is also offering its Finest* Christmas Puddings in 227g, 454g and 907g formats, all of which are made by Seery’s bakery in Carlow, matured for six months and are infused with Irish stout and whiskey, as well as rum and brandy.
Another Irish producer, Lir Chocolates, is behind the selection of Tesco Finest* truffles available in both a reindeer shaped box and a star featuring LED lights, which can easily be repurposed into a festive decoration.
Along with its own Finest* free-from range, including gluten-free triple chocolate cookies and millionaires shortbread bites, Tesco Ireland is also offering both a free-from Christmas pudding and mince pies from Foods of Athenry.
