The winners of the 2017 Checkout National Retail Supplier Awards were revealed last Friday (24 November 2017) at a gala lunch hosted at Dublin’s Radisson Blu, Golden Lane.
Checkout welcomed over 100 attendees to the event, which seeks to reward and celebrate best-in-class logistics providers, equipment manufacturers, store fit outs, utility providers, loyalty programmes, facilities management and merchandising teams.
The winners this year included names like SEL, which took home an award for its work on the redesign of Musgrave Marketplace Robinhood, and Eurobase, which was named winner of the Third Party Logistics Provider category.
The prestigious Retail Innovation of the Year Award went to Frank & Honest, the new coffee concept that has been rolled out across Musgrave store, and that brings together high quality barista service and premium machine coffee.
Commenting on the awards, Checkout editor, Jenny Whelan said, “Now in its third year, the National Retail Supplier Awards have become a key part of Checkout’s calendar.”
“It’s our chance to reach out to those often unsung heroes that keep Ireland’s grocery retail industry running smoothly.
“I’d like to extend my personal congratulations to all of our finalists and winners, as well as to my panel of judges – all of whom are independent retailers that know just how important getting the right suppliers is.”
