XL Ireland Reveals Winner Of New Mascot Competition

XL Ireland has revealed Ruby Scott as the winner of a nationwide competition to design a bandana for their new mascot.

11-year-old Ruby Scott from Co. Monaghan won for her beautiful bandana which she designed with XL’s new Irish Wolfhound mascot Briosca.

XL created Briosca to become a key brand personality that aligns with brand values of local, Irish and community.

The mascot was designed to encourage customers to support their local store.

XL introduced Briosca to the public by offering an interactive activity pack in participating stores and asking members of the public to take part in a colouring competition by designing a bandana.

Ruby picked up an activity pack from her local XL, Declan Gartlan’s XL in Lannett, Killanny, Carrickmackross.

Her design was selected from a multitude of entries due to its colourful and creative design.

As a result, Ruby and her family received an unforgettable prize of a two-night stay in Westport, Co. Mayo.

XL also presented Ruby with her own bandana, which brought her unique design to life, as a special treat.
