Dairygold Food Ingredients during the week launched ‘Pastureland’, Dairygold’s guarantee that its milk is sourced from grass-fed cows in nutrient-rich pastures across Ireland.
Pastureland is the company’s guarantee that its grass-fed milk “is of the highest quality, is sustainable and naturally nourishing”.
Dairygold said the decision came as it is aware that its customers demand the highest standards in food traceability, sustainability, and milk quality from their dairy ingredients suppliers.
Demand For Quality
“The guarantee represents our unique selling position at the very highest level in the dairy ingredients industry and is vitally important to our brand,” the group said.
“It acts as a signature, an identifier and a mark of quality. It is and should always be, the most consistent component in our communications.”
As a founding member of Bord Bia’s Origin Green, the group adheres to the Sustainable Dairy Assurance Scheme which shows that 97% of the cows it process milk from are on nutrient-rich diets.
The group said this leads to milk of superior quality that has scientifically proven health benefits.
“Studies have also shown that consumers prefer the taste, texture and appearance of our grass-fed dairy ingredients,” the group added.
“These ingredients are used in Infant Milk Formula, Milk Powders, Cheese and Confectionary products helping to nourish people all over the world.”
The pastureland brand will be rolled out across all Dairygold Food Ingredients’ products, from dairy powders to cheeses in the coming months.
