Sainsbury’s Is Set For Profit Growth After Christmas Sales Rise

Britain's Sainsbury’s is on track to deliver full-year profit growth of around 7%, the retailer said on Friday.

Aldi UK has reported a 16% rise in sales in Britain and Ireland to £17.9 billion in 2023, a year that saw grocery inflation peak at 17.5%.

Kildare-based company Irish Dog Foods has agreed to a trial contract with Aldi to supply its product to some of Aldi’s US stores.

The British arm of German discounter Aldi will increase pay rates for around 7,000 warehouse workers from next month.
