Compass Group Ireland has launched its second annual Idea Works, an initiative encouraging SMEs with product solutions and applications for the foodservice, hospitality and facilities management industry to get their ideas off the ground.
Companies across Ireland are invited to submit their concepts via www.compass-ideaworks.ie, and Compass Group Ireland will shortlist the best ideas to be pitched before a judging panel at the Aviva Stadium on 23 July.
This year’s judging panel is made up of commercial director of Compass Group Ireland, Mark Lee and celebrity chef Neven Maguire, alongside Bord Bia food service specialist Maureen Gahan and managing editor of the Sunday Business Post, Gillian Nelis.
Finalists who get three yes votes from the judges will be supported in introducing their idea to the Compass Group Ireland business, and potentially to the wider market.
Mark Lee commented on the initiative, “The primary aim of Idea Works is to provide SME’s around Ireland with the opportunity to bring their foodservice related product or service to market with the support and resources of Compass Group Ireland.
“In the event that national distribution is a challenge for a small foodservice product provider, we can open up the entire Irish market to them through our central distribution platform,” he added.
