Perfect Day, a company that researches, develops and produces animal-free dairy, has announced the launch of new limited-edition ice cream product, powered by the company’s flora-based, animal-free dairy protein.
Perfect Day will be offering a bundle containing three flavours of the frozen dairy dessert: Milky Chocolate, Vanilla Salted Fudge and Vanilla Blackberry Toffee.
The company aims to produce protein-heavy products that are dairy-free through a fermentation process that is similar to the manufacture of vitamins and amino acids, which are identical to the proteins found in cow’s milk.

According to the Irish Times, the company, which is now based in California, was part of an accelerator programme in Cork, which was backed by former Dragon’s Den star Sean O’Sullivan.
Perumal Gandhi, the co-founder of Perfect Day, said that the goal has always been “to pave the way for a kinder, greener planet”.
Since the company’s $50,000 funding from the accelerator programme, Gandhi and his co-founder Ryan Pandya have gone on to raise more than $60 million in investment.
“What we’re doing here is completely new to the world,” Pandya, Perfect Day’s CEO, told the Irish Times.
“We wanted our first debut to be under the care of our own brand, so that we could demonstrate the consumer benefits inherent to our protein, while starting a conversation about this new approach to making food.”
The limited-edition flavour bundles are available from July 11 for $60.00 plus shipping and handling, exclusively at perfectdayfoods.com.
