Fyffes has announced that it has launched a new website.
The Bananas, pineapples, melons and exotic fruits distributor said that the new website ‘makes it easier to access information about their sustainability efforts, certifications, quality controls and standards’.
Designed by Dublin-based digital agency, Friday, the requirement according to their director of Corporate Affairs, Caoimhe Buckley was “to provide an enhanced user experience, to have a modern creative treatment, and be easy to use on any device”.
Important Requirements
From interviews with employees, retailers, NGOs, industry commentators and consumers, Fyffes said that it asked what it was they expected from a fresh produce label website.
The most important requirements were “navigability, ease of search, transparency and accountability,” Buckley said.
”Consumers and other stakeholders want to know more about the provenance of our bananas, pineapples, melons and exotic range – the so-called ‘farm to table’ journey,” she said.
"They want to know more about how we care for our people who harvest and pack by hand so that our products arrive in perfect condition to the supermarket shelves," Buckley added.
