Musgrave has announced that SuperValu, Centra and Musgrave MarketPlace have enabled their card terminals to accept a new €50 contactless limit (up from €30).
The change will be in effect until further notice, the group said.
“We welcome the commitment from the banks that they will be raising the contactless threshold from €30 to €50," commented Noel Keeley, CEO Musgrave.
He added, "when this is enacted we would ask customers to tap and pay wherever possible or to use their smartphone for higher value purchases."
