Glanbia brand Avonmore has launched the first ever Avonmore Cook & Taste Awards 2013. The competition will run for six weeks and requires home cooks to submit their favourite recipe for a chance to win €1,000 in cash.
Eithne O’Hara, Marketing Manager of Avonmore Cream said, "The competition is to encourage people to create simple home cooked recipes that are tasty and appealing. We believe that there is a wealth of cookery talent in Ireland and that more people are now cooking and entertaining at home."
The submitted recipes ideally will utilise the best of Avonmore products including milk, butter, cheese and cream. The applications will be judged by Irish-based celebrity chef Rozanne Stevens, and can be in any category including starters, mains or desserts.
The deadline for entries to the Cook & Taste awards is September 9th. Winners will be announced on September 30th 2013. Submissions are to be sent to: Cookwithavonmore.ie/comp Facebook Application.
