Ballyfree Eggs Makes Donation To Irish Cancer Society

Monaghan-based Greenfield Foods, producers of Ballyfree Eggs, has donated €14,000 to the Irish Cancer Society following a ‘pink pack’ promotion that saw 5c from every pack sold in Tesco, Dunnes and SuperValu go to Action Breast Cancer.

“We are delighted to have been involved with this campaign,” said John Mohan, managing director of Greenfield Foods.“The Ballyfree egg brand is all about family, Irish tradition and supporting local farm communities.

“Since most families in Ireland have unfortunately been affected or know someone affected by cancer in some way, this was a really good fit for us, and also allowed us to give something back to the community”.

The Irish Cancer Society’s Corporate Partnership Manager Emma Barrett added: “Not only has Ballyfree’s support raised a substantial sum for the Society – the partnership has been a great fit as eggs are a healthy part of a balanced diet and by consumers choosing a special pink pack they were able to support a good cause while making a healthy choice.”
