Keelings is a 100% Irish-owned family business, focused on growing, sourcing, marketing, sales and distribution of fresh produce, software and management solutions. It employs approximately 2,000 people and has sales of approximately €300m.
As well as fresh produce, Keelings has developed produce-specific ERP software solutions, consultancy and management services, which have earned international recognition. In her presentation, Caroline Keeling, Chief Executive, Keelings, will discuss how Irish brands should not just think about developing best-in-class models for the Irish market, but should also be international in their scope.
Caroline has a BSc (Chem) & MSc in Food Science which she obtained from University College Dublin (UCD). Caroline started her career with Green Isle foods from 1992 – 1994, going on to join Keelings as Technical Manager in 1994, becoming Group MD in 2006.
Caroline is an Ambassador for The Women’s Fund for Ireland and also sits on the Bord Bia Horticulture Board. In 2013, she was a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award and overall winner of the Image Business Woman of the Year Award.
