Tommy Carmody, who headed up Dunnes Stores' Food Division for many years, has passed away at the age of 61.
Carmody, a longstanding member of the Dunnes executive team, died on Tuesday 17th March after a short illness.
A letter to Dunnes staff, penned by Frank Dunne, Margaret Heffernan, Anne Heffernan & Sharon McMahon said, "Those who were lucky enough to work with Tommy and those who trained under him will know he was a skilled professional, kind and loyal to Dunnes Stores and to everyone in the company.
"Tommy will be sadly missed by us all. May he rest in peace." His funeral takes place tomorrow (Friday) in Dublin.
