A Glanbia site in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford has caught fire today according to The Farmer’s Journal.
Waterford Fire Service are currently attempting to control the blaze, which began at 8.30am this morning. The fire reportedly originated in the company’s shared services centre for administration.
Glanbia issued a statement: “Glanbia confirms that fire incident occurred at approximately 8.30am this morning at its Business Services office in Dungarvan. Fire services are currently at the scene. Fortunately there were no employees in the building at the time the fire was discovered. Management have redirected employees to other locations today.”
A nearby school was evacuated as a precaution, although no injuries have been reported.
