Unilever's HB brand was the biggest spender on outdoor advertising in the food and drink sector in May, according to the latest according to the latest Posterwatch report from PML Group.
HB's 'Tastes Like…' outdoor campaign accounted for €472k worth of spend in May, with Cadbury's 'Marvellous Creations' campaign (which accounted for €380k worth of spend) and Coca-Cola's 'Share' campaign (€342k worth of spend) in second and third place.
Other big spenders on outdoor in the period included Lucozade (€336k), Tropicana (€185k), Birds Eye Fish Fingers (€146k) and Kerry Low Low (€136k)
The figures used to compile the Posterwatch report are based on published Media Owner rate cards and refer to display values only.
Guinness was the biggest spender on outdoor advertising in the alcoholic beverages sector, accounting for €394k worth of spend, with Heineken's campaign around the Heineken Cup accounting for €246k worth of spend.
Overall, the biggest spender on outdoor during the period was telecoms provider O2, which accounted for €937k worth of spend for its 'Prepay' campaign.
