Heineken Ireland is on the lookout for a new Managing Director, after its current MD, David Forde, has announced that he is to take up the role of Managing Director at the brewer's UK business.
Forde has held the position of MD at Heineken Ireland since 2009. He succeeds Stefan Orlowski in the UK role, who last week was appointed President Americas.
A statement issued by Heineken said that under Forde's leadership, "Heineken Ireland has delivered strong and sustained year on year growth," and that "one third of all consumer spend on lager (on and off trade) is focused on the Heineken brand."
Forde previously served as General Manager of Heineken UK (since 2007), prior to the Heineken acquisition of Scottish and Newcastle in 2008. He also held the role of Global Portfolio Development Director, Global Commerce in Amsterdam (2003), Marketing Director Grupa Zywiec, Heineken’s business in Poland (2000) and International Marketing Manager, Heineken Netherlands (2000).
He first joined Heineken Ireland in 1988. Heineken employs 550 people in Ireland, with a turnover of turnover of €464 million recorded in 2012.
